How It Works

The gel bait works through delayed toxicity and colony-wide transmission. After consuming the bait, cockroaches do not die immediately. Instead, the active ingredient gradually takes effect, allowing them to return to their nests.

During this period, they spread the toxic substance through feces, regurgitation, and their bodies after death. Other cockroaches, especially nymphs, consume these contaminated materials, leading to secondary poisoning and multiple transmission cycles. Because cockroaches live in groups and share habitats, the toxin spreads rapidly through the colony.

When reproductive cockroaches (such as egg-carrying females) are affected, their ability to reproduce is reduced or halted, disrupting the colony’s lifecycle and leading to a sharp population decline or collapse within days.

Compared to traditional contact insecticide sprays, gel bait does not cause immediate avoidance or scattering. Instead, it uses the cockroach’s natural behavior to carry the poison back to hidden nests, eliminating them from within.

Directions for Use

1. Identify Cockroach Pathways: focus on kitchen corners, drains, wall cracks, under cabinets, and near trash bins

2. Apply Small Amounts in Multiple Spots: place a rice grain-sized drop (0.3–0.5g) every 20–30 cm

3. Do Not Disturb: do not kill cockroaches while they are feeding, as carrying the bait back to the nest is key

4. Monitor and Reapply: reapply when the gel dries out; generally every 3 months indoors

FAQs

Is it safe for homes with pets or children?

Answer: The main active ingredient is a very low concentration of Fipronil, specifically formulated for cockroaches. It does not pose harm to pets or children when used properly. Apply the bait in hidden areas such as drains, cabinet bases, and cracks to avoid contact.

Will it attract more cockroaches?

Answer: No. Although the bait attracts cockroaches, it does not cause infestation. Due to delayed toxicity, cockroaches carry the poison back to the nest, where most die.

Will cockroaches die all over the house?

Answer: No. Cockroaches are nocturnal. They feed at night and return to their nests, where the poison takes effect. Most die in the nest, with only a few possibly dying outside.

How long does it take to work? Is one application enough?
